Placements24 is seeking a Mining Recruitment Specialist to source and place qualified professionals across the mining value chain in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, South Africa. You will identify operational, technical, engineering and management talent for local and international roles.

The role requires at least 4 years in recruitment within mining or resources, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to deliver high‑quality placements in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of recruitment experience with a focus on mining or resources.
• Ability to source and attract candidates for niche mining roles across multiple disciplines.
• Strong understanding of the mining lifecycle, operations and challenges.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with ATS and recruitment databases.

Responsibilities

• Source, screen and interview candidates for engineering, geology, operations and safety roles.
• Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies for mining specialists.
• Build and maintain relationships with mining clients and project teams.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes and placements.
• Conduct market research on industry trends and talent availability.
• Network within the mining community to build talent pipelines.
• Advise clients on market conditions, salary benchmarks, and recruitment practices.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
