Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mining Engineering with Geotechnical specialization.
- Minimum five years' geotechnical experience in the mining sector.
- Proficiency in FLAC and RocScience for modeling and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of rock and soil mechanics and geology principles.
Responsibilities
- Conduct geotechnical investigations and site assessments for mining operations.
- Analyze soil and rock mechanics data to evaluate slope stability and excavation designs.
- Develop geotechnical monitoring programs and interpret monitoring data.
- Prepare detailed geotechnical reports and design recommendations.
- Collaborate with project teams to mitigate geotechnical risks throughout the lifecycle.
- Provide guidance on foundation design, ground improvement, and dewatering strategies.
