Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical, Civil, Mining or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of mine geotechnical experience.
• Proficiency in Rocscience suite and FLAC for analysis.
• Strong knowledge of rock and soil mechanics.
• Experience with geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring.
• Strong analytical, report writing and communication skills.

You will be responsible for evaluating ground conditions, designing ground support systems, and monitoring slope stability to mitigate risks associated with excavation. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining safe working environments and ensuring the integrity of mine structures, contributing directly to operational continuity and risk management in a challenging geological setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess geological and geotechnical conditions to identify potential hazards such as instability and rock bursts.
• Design and recommend appropriate ground support systems for underground excavations and open pits.
• Conduct stability analyses for slopes, open pits, and underground workings.
• Monitor ground movement and instrumentation, analyzing data to assess risk and inform decisions.
