Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of mining geotechnical experience.
- Proficiency in Rocscience and FLAC.
- Strong knowledge of rock and soil mechanics.
- Experience with field investigations and instrumentation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site investigations and analyze geological and geotechnical data.
- Design and implement ground support for underground excavations and open pits.
- Perform stability analyses for slopes, pits, and underground openings.
- Monitor ground conditions and advise on remediation measures for stability issues.
- Develop and implement geotechnical monitoring programs.
- Collaborate with mine planners, engineers, and geologists to integrate geotechnical inputs into mine design.
