Placements24 is seeking a Mine Electrical Engineer to ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical systems at our mining site near Nelspruit. You will manage design, installation, maintenance and repair of electrical infrastructure, including power distribution, heavy machinery and control systems.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Pr.Eng registration, and 7+ years in industrial electrical engineering with at least 4 years in mining.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Registered Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in industrial electrical engineering.
• 4+ years in a mining environment.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, motor control, PLC systems, and hazardous area electrical safety.
• Experience with electrical safety management systems and relevant legislation.
• Proven leadership and project management skills.

This role involves managing the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical infrastructure, including power distribution, heavy machinery, and control systems. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulations, optimizing power usage, and minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial electrical engineering, with specific experience in the demanding mining environment. Your proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving will be key to supporting seamless mining operations and contributing to the overall productivity and safety of the site.

Key Responsibilities
