Job summary

AkilConnect in Johannesburg seeks a Technical Sales Engineer to grow its mining automation footprint. You will promote LS Electric automation products, design solutions, and manage the sales process from initial consultation through to after-sales support.

Responsibilities include site visits, client consultations, proposals, and long-term relationship building with mines and EPCM contractors. Travel will be extensive.

Qualifications

3–5 years of technical sales experience in mining automation or related industrial sectors.
Ability to identify automation and process-control requirements on-site.
Experience designing and presenting automation solutions using LS Electric products.

Responsibilities

Develop new business in the mining sector and manage sales cycles.
Consult with clients to define automation and control requirements.
Prepare proposals, costings, and quotations for projects.
Present solutions to engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.
Manage projects through procurement, commissioning, and support.
