Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation engineering.
• 3–5 years’ experience in mining technology sales or automation systems.
• Knowledge of mine operations, automation systems or SCADA/PLC.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to remote sites.
• Professional English communication skills.
• Must reside in South Africa.
• Strong technical understanding of automation and control systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Commercial awareness, self-motivation and a results-driven approach.
• Ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in mine automation and digital transformation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with mining customers, OEMs and technology partners.
• Prepare and deliver product presentations, proposals and quotations.
• Negotiate contracts and close sales against targets.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract signing and post-sales support.
• Understand and promote automation technologies such as remote operations and fleet management.
• Work with technical colleagues to tailor solutions to customer requirements.
• Keep up to date with mining automation, robotics and digital systems.
• Provide after-sales support and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales records using CRM tools.
• Conduct site visits and product demonstrations at mining operations.
• Research market developments and competitors to identify growth opportunities.
• Contribute to sales strategies and marketing plans.
• Provide feedback to internal teams on customer needs and performance.
