Job summary

Metso seeks a Site Account Manager to lead strategic relationships with mining customers in Kathu and surrounding regions. You will develop account plans, identify growth opportunities, and promote Metso’s full portfolio of products and services across services, pumps and capital equipment.

You will travel frequently within Northern and Western Cape, collaborate with product specialists, and drive sales performance while ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering, supported by Matric.
• Experience in account management and sales within mining with strong commercial awareness.
• Knowledge of mining applications including milling, crushing, screening, grinding, pumps, flotation and service solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships while promoting Metso's complete offering of products and services.
• Assess customer needs, identify market potential and create account plans to secure new business opportunities within assigned accounts.
• Manage sales activities, customer opportunities and account plans through Salesforce and other sales management tools.
• Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring effective communication, responsive service and coordination of after-sales and technical support.
• Identify and develop opportunities across Services, Consumables, Pumps and Capital Equipment offerings, with a focus on long-term customer partnerships.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals that address customer requirements and deliver value.
• Collaborate with Product Support teams and Product Specialists to develop customer engagement strategies and new sales opportunities.
• Monitor sales performance, forecasts, budgets and business opportunities to achieve sales targets and support regional growth.
