Job summary

Hire Resolve's client in the Northern Cape seeks an experienced Mine Manager to lead life-of-mine planning and production execution, driving operational excellence and regulatory compliance. You will oversee open pit operations, implement production strategies, and ensure a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities include coordinating with mining and plant teams, improving pit performance, and maintaining policies to meet health, safety, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering
• Mine Manager's Certificate if Competency
• Minimum 10 years' experience within an open pit mining environment
• Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Lead life-of-mine planning and production execution to meet targets
• Drive continuous improvement through operational excellence initiatives
• Develop, implement, monitor, and report on production strategies and schedules
• Provide guidance across mining and plant operations to meet production objectives
• Conduct inspections to improve pit performance, orebody knowledge, and resource optimisation
• Ensure progress is tracked and communicated against plan
• Develop and maintain policies in line with mining, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards
• Build stakeholder relationships and collaborate with legal appointees and operations teams
• Promote discipline, cost control, and a strong safety culture

Job description

Description: Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Mine Manager to join their mining company based in the Northern Cape. You will be responsible for leading life-of-mine planning and production execution by driving operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and achieving safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the life-of-mine planning process
• Drive continuous improvement through operational excellence initiatives
• Develop, implement, monitor, and report on production strategies, plans, schedules, and activities
• Provide directional support across mining and plant operations to achieve production objectives
• Conduct inspections and assessments to improve pit performance, orebody knowledge, and resource optimisation
• Ensure accurate tracking and communication of progress against plan
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures in line with mining, safety, and legislative requirements
• Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and operational standards
• Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
• Collaborate closely with appointed legal appointees and operational teams to achieve production targets
• Promote discipline, cost control, operational efficiency, and a strong safety culture
