Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Mine Manager to oversee all operational aspects of a mine near Sandton. This senior leadership role focuses on safety, productivity, and profitability, with responsibility for strategic planning, resource management, and stakeholder engagement.

You will lead a diverse team of mining professionals, manage budgets, ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental and regulatory standards, and drive operational excellence in line with Gauteng

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering or related field; MBA or equivalent management qualification highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mine management, with a strong track record in underground or open-pit operations.
• Extensive knowledge of mining methods, equipment, and best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing large operational budgets.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
