- 5+ years of experience in a maintenance role within mining or heavy industrial sector.
- Experience supervising a maintenance team.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on mining equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and organizational skills for site operations near East London.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the maintenance team (mechanical and electrical technicians).
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for mining equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize disruptions.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations during maintenance.
- Manage spare parts inventory and oversee workshop operations.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide training and development opportunities for the maintenance team.
