Placements24 is seeking a proactive Mine Maintenance Manager in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, to lead the maintenance department. The role focuses on reliability and performance of mining equipment and infrastructure, with responsibility for strategic maintenance, budget control, and safety compliance in a senior leadership capacity.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in mining maintenance, a relevant engineering degree, and strong CMMS proficiency.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in maintenance management within the mining or heavy industry sector.
• Proven experience managing maintenance budgets and personnel.
• Strong knowledge of mobile mining equipment and fixed plant processing equipment.
• Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic maintenance plans, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Lead a team of maintenance supervisors, technicians, and artisans across disciplines.
• Oversee the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and efficient resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to maintenance activities.
• Implement systems for tracking maintenance performance and equipment reliability.
