Placements24 in Polokwane is seeking a seasoned Mine Maintenance Manager to oversee our mining equipment maintenance, driving reliability and uptime. You will lead engineers and technicians, implementing best practices and safety standards to optimize performance across the fleet.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering, 10+ years in maintenance with 5+ in leadership, strong CMMS and budgeting skills, and the ability to manage projects and compliance in a demanding mining environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive maintenance management experience.
• 5+ years in supervisory or managerial roles within heavy industry or mining.
• Proven expertise in heavy equipment maintenance and diagnostics; CMMS experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Lead, train, and mentor the maintenance team to high performance and safety standards.
• Manage the maintenance budget, costs, and spare parts inventory.
• Oversee maintenance-related projects, equipment overhauls and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
