About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and innovative Metallurgist to join their mineral processing team in Mossel Bay . This role is central to optimizing the recovery and quality of valuable minerals from extracted ore. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring processing circuits, conducting laboratory test work, and troubleshooting operational challenges to enhance efficiency and yield in the Western Cape facility. This position requires a strong understanding of mineral processing techniques and a commitment to driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize mineral processing flowsheets and operating parameters to maximize recovery and product quality.
• Conduct laboratory and pilot plant test work to evaluate new processing technologies and reagents.
• Monitor plant performance through regular sampling, chemical analysis, and data interpretation.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and losses.
• Prepare technical reports on process performance, research findings, and recommendations for plant improvements.

Requirements
