Solenis in South Africa seeks a results-driven Merchandiser to drive store sales and maintain routine customer calls. You will manage stock, display compliance, and promotional activities while supporting regional targets and safety standards.

Responsibilities include stock rotation, forward share optimization, TRC compliance, and managing merchandisers with performance checks. A strong emphasis on store visits and in-store execution is required.

• Increase volumes in-store to meet the region's budget.
• Seek new business opportunities and maintain regular customer calls.
• Conduct quality checks and respond to damaged or poor-quality stock.
• Ensure stock rotation and forward share reflects ROS.
• Monitor stock levels and action slow/fast movers.
• Lead merchandising staff, ensure in-store admin and time-sheets are accurate.

Achieve monthly call route and Sales Targets.Understand and communicate sales targets to merchandiser.Drive sales support initiatives leading to growth in revenue, achievement of sales targets whilst optimizing forward share.Increase volumes in store to ensure the achievement of the region’s sales budget.Actively seek new business opportunities.Maintain a regular customer call route as per pre-determined route list.Consistent quality checks respond to poor quality or damaged stock.Ensure stock rotation.Ensure stock pressure is applied.Ensure forward share reflects ROS.Ensure out of stocks are limited.Optimize stock levels, monitor slow/fast sellers and take appropriate action.Building and maintaining relationships with customers at all levels.Drive ad-hoc promotions to increase sales within parameters as set out by Regional Sales Manager.Negotiations of additional display space and hands on activity with erecting safe displays.Monitor sales daily with the use of Salesforce.com and other tools.Engage with customers to provide product information to support the sales processMinimize credit notesStock ManagementMaintain product for in store displays within designated accounts, including activities such as transporting products between stockroom and sales floor with equipment (i.e. pallet jack, cart); replenishing, facing out, and rotating products; resolving inventory discrepancies; building, changing, and expanding product displays; maintaining product signage; cleanin g product space; and evaluating/processing damaged or defective product per established policiesTrade Responsible Care (TRC)Comply to all safety rules and safe-job practicesReport all accidents/incidents/injuries immediately to his/her supervisor, no matter how smallKeep his / her work area clean and neat (Maintain good housekeeping standards)Trade Responsible Care training to be done at every store and completion of training within set dates.
