About the Role

Our client, a leading global pharmaceutical company with a strong focus on oncology, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to cover the Richards Bay region and surrounding areas. As an MSL, you will be a key scientific and clinical resource for healthcare professionals (HCPs), building relationships and facilitating the exchange of scientific information regarding our client's innovative oncology treatments. You will engage key opinion leaders (KOLs), support clinical research activities, and ensure the accurate communication of complex scientific data. This role requires a deep understanding of oncology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate independently within a defined territory.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with KOLs and other healthcare providers in the oncology therapeutic area.
• Provide accurate, balanced, and scientifically rigorous information on company products and relevant disease states.
• Support the planning and execution of medical education programs and scientific exchange activities.
• Gather and communicate insights from the field regarding clinical practice, unmet medical needs, and competitive intelligence.
• Facilitate investigator-initiated research (IIR) proposals and provide scientific support for clinical trials.
• Represent the company at relevant scientific congresses and medical meetings.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) in a life science or healthcare-related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a medical affairs role, such as MSL, within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a focus on oncology.
• Extensive knowledge of oncology therapeutics, clinical trial design, and interpretation of clinical data.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with scientific and medical experts.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory of Richards Bay and beyond, including occasional national and international travel.
