Job summary

Communicate Recruitment in Pretoria seeks a skilled Mechanical/Piping Draughtsperson to develop 3D models and detailed drawings for industrial projects. You will integrate layouts and coordinate equipment within plant designs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications.

This role requires experience with Inventor, AutoCAD, and Plant 3D, plus the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment. SA residency or valid work permit is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical and piping modelling/draughting.
• Experience in industrial, processing, water, wastewater, sewer or mining environments.
• Strong understanding of mechanical layouts and piping systems.
• Experience with equipment integration and fabrication drawings.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD and Autodesk Plant 3D
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

• Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Qualification

• National Diploma, Advanced Diploma, BTech or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Draughting, or a related field
• Experience with Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud, or Inventor advantageous
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and digital engineering environments advantageous
