Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our client’s Mossel Bay team. You will design and develop industrial machinery, from concept through to manufacturing support, ensuring robust, efficient equipment.

The role calls for 3–5 years of mechanical design experience, strong CAD skills (Inventor, SolidWorks), and a hands-on approach. You will collaborate with manufacturing and contribute to innovation and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of mechanical design experience with industrial equipment.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks) and basic simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design robust mechanical systems and components for industrial machinery using CAD.
• Perform performance simulations and stress analyses to ensure design integrity.
• Produce detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly instructions, and BOMs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to optimize production and assembly.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, installation and commissioning phases.
• Investigate and resolve mechanical issues in the field or during production.
