Placements24 in Mossel Bay is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician with a strong mechanical focus to join our team. You will maintain and repair industrial machinery, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure safety and efficiency across mechanical systems.

The ideal candidate has proven hands-on maintenance experience, proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician, with a strong mechanical background.
Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, including knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systems.
Experience with welding, cutting, and fabrication tools.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
Strong commitment to safety protocols and a proactive approach to risk management in Mossel Bay.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues, including gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, and hydraulic systems.
Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Conduct welding, fabrication, and general repairs as needed to maintain equipment functionality.
Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed, parts used, and time spent.
