Job summary

WSP Africa in Midrand, South Africa, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to strengthen our Building Services team. You will contribute to HVAC design, load calculations and project delivery from inception to closeout, collaborating with clients and contractors to ensure quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a BEng/BSc Eng or BTech Eng (Mechanical) with 3+ years in Building Services, and experience in HVAC design, BIM (Revit/AutoCAD), ACC and tender documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have a B Eng / BSc / B Tech degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering with relevant experience
• Must have minimum 3 years’ post-graduation working experience in building services.
• Must have experience related to Mechanical engineering, specifically HVAC, designs and construction monitoring on sectors such as Data Centres, Clean Rooms, Healthcare facilities

Responsibilities

• Possess a high level of technical proficiency and manage projects from inception to closeout
• HVAC design including heat load and ventilation calculations per standards
• Quality assurance, site supervision and tender/document development
• Work with BIM and ACC/Forma platforms for digital delivery
• Provide client-facing communication and project coordination
