• Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials testing and quality assurance for construction materials.
• Knowledge of common construction materials (concrete, aggregates, asphalt, cement, soil) and their properties.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory testing equipment.
• Strong understanding of relevant material testing standards and specifications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in testing and reporting.
• Familiarity with projects in the Northern Cape region is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Perform and oversee a range of laboratory tests on construction materials, including concrete, asphalt, soil, and steel.
• Analyze test data, interpret results, and prepare detailed material testing reports.
• Ensure all testing procedures and equipment calibration meet relevant national and international standards (e.g., SANS, ASTM, BS).
• Provide technical advice and support to clients regarding material selection, application, and performance.
• Conduct site visits for material sampling and verification as required.
