Placements24 is seeking an experienced Civil Materials Engineer to join our team in Upington. You will specify construction materials, design and oversee testing plans, and guide material selection to ensure durability and safety on major infrastructure projects in the Northern Cape.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree with a Materials focus, 6+ years in materials engineering and QC, and familiarity with SANS/ASTM standards. Hybrid work and career development are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Materials specialization.
• Pr. Eng registration with ECSA is preferred.
• Minimum 6 years in civil materials engineering and quality control.
• Knowledge of relevant material standards (SANS, ASTM) and testing methodologies.
• Experience with concrete mix design, asphalt technology, and aggregate characterization.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex test data.
