Job summary

MyCareerCraft is seeking an experienced Materials Controller to join a busy industrial team in the solar sector. You will help keep the warehouse running smoothly, manage stock, and ensure timely delivery of project kits.

Key duties include accurate stock control, monthly counts, handling returns and faulty items, and collaborating with logistics on deliveries and proof of delivery. Energy and construction experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) with a logistics or inventory certificate as a bonus.
• At least 3 years' experience in warehousing, stock control, or logistics.
• Practical knowledge of solar components like inverters, batteries, racking, and cables.
• Organised, hands-on, and able to maintain a well-run warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Packing and preparing solar project kits, ensuring on-time and complete shipments.
• Keeping stock accurate, well labelled, and properly recorded – including monthly stock counts.
• Handling returns and faulty items, sorting out what can be reused vs what needs warrantary processing.
• Working closely with the logistics team on deliveries, paperwork, and proof of delivery.
• Keeping the warehouse safe, tidy, and compliant.

What you'll need

• Matric (Grade 12) – a logistics or inventory-related certificate is a bonus

• Practical knowledge of solarcomponents like inverters, batteries, racking, and cables
