Job summary

Phoenix Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Barman to deliver warm, personalized bar service for guests, with expertise in cocktails, wines and spirits.

You will maintain mise en place, assist with stock and cost control, and ensure compliance with HACCP and South African liquor regulations.

This on-site role requires at least two years in a similar position, strong communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in a similar bar position.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong product knowledge with attention to detail.
• Ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional bar service and engage with guests.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits to high standards.
• Assist with stock counts, requisitions and rotation to minimise wastage.
• Adhere to HACCP, hygiene and liquor regulations.
• Coordinate with wait staff and management for smooth service.
• Assist with cash handling and POS procedures where applicable.
