Job summary

The Capital Hotels, Apartments & Resorts in Cape Town is looking for a skilled Barman to deliver friendly, fast and accurate beverage service. You will mix and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic and coffee drinks, and support front-of-house and stock management.

Requirements include Matric, 1–2 years of bar experience, ability to work under pressure, good communication, and team spirit. Protel HMS experience is a plus and relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Matric
• 1–2 year barman experience
• Good all round bar skills including being able to make cocktails and specialised drinks
• Hands on Problem Solving approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Well versed in an HMS system (Protel advantageous)
• Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
• Effective communication with members of staff as well as Guests of the Hotel
• Honest and trustworthy beyond approach

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic and coffee drinks to guests and service staff in a friendly, fast and efficient manner.
