Placements24 is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer in Bloemfontein to design, implement, and optimize automated manufacturing systems, improve performance, and ensure safe operations across production lines.

You will analyze system data, develop SOPs, oversee equipment installation and commissioning, and collaborate with production, quality and maintenance teams to boost efficiency and reliability. This role offers exposure to diverse technologies and a pathway for career development.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 4–6 years of experience in manufacturing systems engineering.
• Experience with process optimization and automation technologies.
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with CAD software and simulation tools.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Experience in Bloemfontein manufacturing environment is beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain manufacturing systems including production lines and automation.
• Analyze system performance data to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and waste.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality and maintenance for integration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to manufacturing systems and equipment.
• Develop and update SOPs and technical documentation.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new technologies and system upgrades.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Ensure systems comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Train production staff on proper use and maintenance of manufacturing systems.
