About the Role

Our client, a distinguished entity in the consumer goods manufacturing sector, is looking for an accomplished Manufacturing Quality Assurance Manager to lead their quality initiatives in Mossel Bay, Western Cape . This critical role demands a meticulous and proactive individual responsible for establishing and maintaining the highest standards of product quality throughout the entire manufacturing lifecycle. The successful candidate will develop, implement, and oversee quality management systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive Quality Management Systems (QMS) for the manufacturing facility.
• Establish and monitor quality control procedures at all stages of the production process, from raw materials to finished goods.
• Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Lead and mentor the QA/QC team, providing training and performance management.
• Investigate product non‑conformities, customer complaints, and quality deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with production, R&D, and other departments to integrate quality considerations into product development and manufacturing processes.
• Analyze quality data and trends to identify systemic issues and opportunities for process enhancement.
• Manage external supplier quality and conduct supplier audits as necessary.
• Champion a strong quality culture throughout the organization, promoting continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control management role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in consumer goods.
• In‑depth knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001), statistical process control (SPC), and relevant industry standards.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a QA team.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities.
• Experience with root cause analysis and implementing CAPA.
• Proficiency in quality management software and data analysis tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Food Science, or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on product quality.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments in Mossel Bay, Western Cape .
