Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Rustenburg to drive enhancements in production processes and efficiency. You will design, develop, and optimize methods and systems to meet production goals and quality standards, while integrating new technologies on the shop floor.

The role requires a relevant engineering degree, strong analytical skills, and experience with CAD/CAM tools, Lean and Six Sigma, plus effective project management and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role and understanding of production processes.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and process simulation tools.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent project management and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing production processes to identify efficiency and cost improvements.
• Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Develop and maintain process documentation (SOPs and work instructions).
• Troubleshoot production issues and minimize downtime and waste.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Oversee implementation of new equipment and technologies on the floor.
