Job summary

Pedros Chicken seeks a Manager Trainer to oversee regional training across allocated Pedros stores in KwaZulu-Natal. The role focuses on coaching teams to uphold Standard Operating Procedures, guiding large-scale training rollouts, and influencing restaurant leadership to raise operational standards.

The position requires conducting food-prep training, mentoring staff, maintaining training records, evaluating performance, and supporting new store openings with ongoing coaching and module

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant/fast-food training or supervision, 3–5 years preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
• Computer-literate with ability to produce reports.
• Micros and POS knowledge advantageous.
• Must have own reliable vehicle and mobile phone.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Manager Trainer will be responsible for overseeing the Regional Training of allocated Pedros stores. The role involves training and coaching ensuring that the Standard Operating Procedures maintained.To optimize training efficiency, lead large-scale rollouts, and influence restaurant leadership to improve operational standard

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conduct training sessions on preparation of foods as per our Standard Operating Procedures
2. Support, mentor, and upskill trainees and new employees
3. Promote efficiency and improve skills of employees
4. Keep attendance and training records and registers
5. Monitor employee performance and response to trainingConduct performance evaluations and identify areas of improvement
6. Provide daily updates on training areas done daily in-stores
7. Work within a team and drive the restaurant/take-away forward
8. Assist in New Store openings – supporting the teams through constant mentoring and coaching
9. Assist the Training Department with Adhoc Training tasks and projects within Pedros
10. Doing presentations to the target audience for all Pedros Training Modules and SOP’s
11. Take charge of GP & GRV training/ trouble shooting for new & existing stores.
12. Multi-store Training & leadership, Program design & Innovation, Practical Assessments, Mentorship, Coaching Peers, Training Newly Hired Managers/Internal Development Candidates, Sign Off Managers and Support new store openings

Requirements:

1. Restaurant and Fast-Food Service experience. Minimum 3 -5 years related experience required
2. Good verbal and written communication skills
3. Organisational and time management skills

6. Must be computer literate and must be able to write professional reports from time to time
7. MIcros and POS knowledge would be advantageous
