Placements24 is seeking a proactive Maintenance Manager for our client in Midrand, Gauteng. The role oversees plant and equipment maintenance, leading a team of technicians and engineers to maximize uptime and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical or electrical engineering background with at least 7 years in industrial maintenance, including 3 years in supervision. CMMS proficiency and strong leadership are essential for driving safe, cost-effective maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 7+ years in industrial maintenance with 3+ years in supervision/management.
• Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Proficiency with CMMS and maintenance tools.
• Strong leadership and safety compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all plant machinery.
• Supervise maintenance team including technicians, electricians, and engineers.
• Ensure maintenance work complies with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement for maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and implement timely fixes.
• Oversee maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Develop maintenance budgets and optimize resources.
• Use CMMS to track work orders, asset history, and performance.
• Provide training and development opportunities for staff.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations are followed.
