Job summary

Remote Recruitment seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager for a Polokwane-based industrial operation. You will lead plant engineering and oversee equipment maintenance to ensure maximum uptime and efficient facility operations.

You will implement preventative and corrective maintenance strategies, manage the maintenance budget, and mentor a team of technicians and engineers while ensuring compliance with OHSA and South African safety standards.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Solid leadership experience as a Maintenance Manager within a manufacturing, processing, or heavy industrial setting.
• Proven track record in asset management and the use of CMMS.
• Strong financial acumen for managing departmental budgets and supplier contracts.
• Thorough knowledge of South African occupational health and safety standards.

Maintenance Manager

Salary: R120 000 - R130 000 per month

Our client, an established industrial enterprise based in Polokwane, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead their plant engineering and facility operations. This is a full-time, permanent position available for an immediate start.

What you will do:

• Oversee all plant machinery, equipment maintenance, and facility operations to ensure maximum operational uptime.
• Develop and implement comprehensive preventative and corrective maintenance strategies across all assets.
• Manage the maintenance budget, controlling costs related to spare parts, repairs, and external contractors.
• Lead, mentor, and schedule a team of maintenance technicians, artisans, and engineers.
• Ensure full compliance with statutory health, safety, and environmental regulations (OHSA).

What we are looking for:
