Job summary

Red Ember Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Handyman for a client in Franschhoek. You will maintain facilities and equipment across properties, ensuring reliability and safety.

The role requires hands-on skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in maintenance, valid driver's license, and the ability to work in a team, with a preference for local Franschhoek residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ general electrical, plumbing, and/or air conditioning and heat pump repairs and maintenance.
• Hotel or property maintenance experience would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of safe working procedures of electrical tools and equipment.
• Basic hand tools and electrical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and annual servicing of tools, and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, making necessary repairs or arranging for external service providers when required.
• Perform general handyman tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs.
• Respond to building maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of tools, equipment, spare parts, and materials.
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities, including repairs.

Red Ember Recruitment is looking for a Maintenance Handyman for one of our clients in Franschhoek.

You will excel in this role if you are an efficient, solution-driven individual, who is hardworking and functions well within a team. The successful candidate must be an experienced Maintenance Handyman that needs to ensure that the facilities and equipment in and around all our clients' properties are well maintained and in good working order.

Main Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and annual servicing of tools, and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
