Job summary

Red Ember Recruitment seeks a Maintenance Handyman in Franschhoek to ensure facilities and equipment are well maintained and functioning.

You will perform repairs across plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting and general building tasks, and respond to maintenance requests promptly.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of electrical/plumbing/AC experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' general electrical, plumbing, and/or air conditioning repairs and maintenance.
• Hotel or property maintenance experience would be advantageous.
• Valid Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and annual servicing of tools and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal condition.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, making necessary repairs or arranging external service when required.
• Perform plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of tools, equipment, spare parts, and materials.
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities and repairs.
