Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of tools, equipment, and facilities.
• Carry out general handyman duties including basic electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and minor repairs.
• Maintain and repair swimming pools and identify minor issues.
• Attend to kitchen maintenance: cupboards, taps, handles, hinges and fixtures.
• Fix everyday items such as brooms, handles and basic equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests to ensure smooth operation.
• Identify and troubleshoot maintenance problems and arrange specialist assistance when needed.
• Perform general building and property maintenance for safety and presentation.
• Inspect tools and equipment regularly for safety and good order.
• Maintain an organised inventory of tools, spare parts, and materials.
• Keep accurate records of repairs, servicing and maintenance activities.
• Follow health and safety procedures when carrying out maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate must be practical, hands-on, and solution-driven, with the ability to carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks, from general repairs and swimming pool maintenance to basic electrical work and fixing everyday items. Attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are essential.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of tools, equipment, and facilities.
• Carry out general handyman duties, including basic electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and minor building repairs.
• Maintain and repair swimming pools, including identifying and addressing minor maintenance issues.
• Attend to kitchen maintenance, including repairing cupboards, drawers, handles, taps, hinges, and other fixtures.
• Fix everyday items, including small household and maintenance items such as brooms, handles, and other basic equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests to ensure the smooth operation of the property.
• Identify and troubleshoot maintenance problems and arrange specialist assistance when necessary.
• Perform general building and property maintenance to maintain a safe, clean, and presentable environment.

Experience and Requirements

• Ability to repair kitchen fixtures, fittings, and everyday household items.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, painting, and building maintenance.
• Good practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of safe working procedures when using hand tools and electrical equipment.
• Ability to work independently, manage maintenance tasks, and respond to urgent requests.
• Hospitality, wine estate, hotel, or property maintenance experience will be advantageous.
• Must be hardworking, reliable, organised, and able to work well within a team.
