Job summary

Hazendal Wine Estate in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, seeks a dynamic Spa & Wellness Manager to lead our luxury spa and wellness operations, blending premium therapies with movement practices such as yoga and Pilates.

You will oversee daily operations, mentor a multidisciplinary team, ensure brand and hygiene standards, and drive revenue across spa services, retail, and wellness programmes. CPR/First Aid is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' experience in spa and wellness operations within luxury hotel or resort.
• Strong knowledge of spa therapies, wellness services, movement practices, and functional training.
• Proven leadership and team development experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated financial acumen, including budgeting and revenue generation.
• A degree or diploma in Spa Management, Wellness, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily spa and fitness centre operations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary wellness team.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and hygiene protocols.
• Develop wellness offerings integrating spa, yoga, Pilates, and fitness.
• Collaborate with instructors for classes and seasonal programmes.
• Drive revenue across spa, retail, and movement-based programmes.
• Monitor KPIs and optimise profitability and efficiency.
• Partner with marketing to promote wellness events and brand alignment.
• Maintain luxury service standards and guest experiences.
