Job summary

The President Hotel in Cape Town seeks an experienced Reservations Agent with at least 2 years in a busy city hotel environment and strong OPERA PMS skills. You will manage reservations across channels, handle amendments and enquiries, and communicate guest preferences with frontline teams to ensure accurate bookings and a seamless arrival experience.

Working in a 24-hour reservations area, you will rotate shifts including overnights.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Reservations Agent / Reservationist within a large, high-volume city hotel environment
• Strong working knowledge of OPERA PMS essential
• Excellent telephone, email and written communication skills
• Ability to upsell rooms, packages and hotel services
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including overnights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Manage hotel reservations accurately and efficiently across all applicable booking channels
• Process new reservations, amendments and cancellations
• Respond to telephone, email and online reservation enquiries professionally and timely
• Ensure guest profiles, rates, packages and special requests are captured accurately
• Support front office and revenue teams to optimise availability and pricing
