Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional pastry kitchen, preferably luxury lodge or fine dining.
• Culinary qualification in pastry or baking is advantageous.
• Strong technical pastry skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Understanding of food hygiene, safety standards and stock control.
• Professional attitude and passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality pastries, desserts, cakes and baked goods.
• Develop seasonal dessert menus that complement the establishment’s culinary offering.
• Ensure consistency, quality and attention to detail in all pastry preparations and presentations.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene, cleanliness and food safety in accordance with industry regulations.
• Manage pastry ingredients, stock levels and ordering to minimise waste and maintain cost control.
• Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Keep up to date with current pastry trends and introduce innovative ideas where appropriate.
