• Understanding of food hygiene, safety standards and stock control.
• Professional attitude and passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality pastries, desserts, cakes and baked goods.
• Develop seasonal dessert menus that complement the establishment’s culinary offering.
• Ensure consistency, quality and attention to detail in all pastry preparations and presentations.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene, cleanliness and food safety in accordance with industry regulations.
• Manage pastry ingredients, stock levels and ordering to minimise waste and maintain cost control.
• Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Keep up to date with current pastry trends and introduce innovative ideas where appropriate.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare and present a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, cakes and baked goods to an exceptional standard.
• Develop creative and seasonal dessert menus that complement the establishment’s culinary offering.
• Ensure consistency, quality and attention to detail in all pastry preparations and presentations.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, cleanliness and food safety in accordance with industry regulations.
• Manage pastry ingredients, stock levels and ordering to minimise waste and maintain cost control.
• Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.

Requirements:

Salary: R20,000 – R30,000 per month, depending on experience.
