Placements24, on behalf of a premier hospitality group, seeks an Executive Housekeeper to oversee all housekeeping operations in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. The role demands strong leadership, attention to detail and a hands-on approach to motivate staff and maintain pristine guest environments.

The successful candidate will manage a diverse team, optimize efficiency, and ensure exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction across rooms and public areas.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years in hotel housekeeping supervisory role.
• Experience in 4- or 5-star establishments is preferred.
• Strong leadership and guest-service focus.
• Proficiency with housekeeping software and standard office apps.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays when required.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to ensure quality.
• Lead, train, and supervise staff; conduct performance reviews.
• Oversee inventory for linens, supplies, and amenities with cost control.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness and safety.
• Coordinate with Front Desk and Maintenance to resolve requests.
• Manage the housekeeping budget including labor and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Partner with Engineering on preventative maintenance programs.
• Address guest feedback professionally and promptly.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
