You will support the Executive Housekeeper to maintain rustic or refined presentation across accommodations.

The role requires 5+ years in housekeeping, including supervisory experience, with strong leadership and time management. Weekend/holiday shifts are expected.

Qualificações

• Grade 12 and formal hospitality qualification.
• At least 5 years' housekeeping experience, including at least 4 in a supervisory role.
• Skilled at staff scheduling, stock control, room inspections and quality standards.
• Strong leadership skills and attention to detail.
• Previous supervisory or assistant management experience in hotel or lodge housekeeping.
• Strong leadership, attention to detail, time management, and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, plus property management or housekeeping software.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and early/late shifts typical of hospitality operations.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate room attendants, public area cleaners, housemen, and laundry staff.
• Check guest rooms, suites, cottages, public spaces, linen cupboards, and back-of-house areas daily.
• Assist in scheduling shifts, running in-house laundry/linen services, and stepping in as department head when the Executive Housekeeper is away.
• Monitor and order cleaning supplies, guest amenities, uniforms, and linen stock.
• Report maintenance and repair issues to the engineering team and coordinate room statuses with the front desk.
• Train new staff on hotel standards, safety procedures, chemical handling, and eco-friendly or country-property guidelines.
• Handle special requests, VIP setups, lost-and-found items, and guest feedback.
