Job summary

The Globevest Group is recruiting a capable Assistant Executive Housekeeper for a luxury hotel in Pretoria. You will supervise housekeeping staff, oversee rooms, suites, and public areas, and drive luxury cleanliness and guest satisfaction across the property.

You will coach and develop a high-performing team, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards while maintaining exquisite attention to detail for VIP guests.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping operations, including supervisory or team-leading roles in hospitality or facility management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all housekeeping staff, guest rooms, suites, laundry area and ensure work is completed efficiently.
• Train, mentor and develop housekeeping team members in luxury service standards, etiquette, and attention to detail.
• Conduct regular staff appraisals and provide performance feedback.
• Schedule and prepare duty rosters, assign duties based on occupancy forecasts and service expectations.
• Maintain accurate time records for all departmental employees.
• Foster staff morale and recognise exceptional performance.
• Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance standards throughout the hotel.
• Develop and implement housekeeping systems, procedures, and cleaning standards.
• Inspect guest rooms, suites, and public areas for perfection in presentation.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance for seamless guest experiences.
• Oversee stock counts and inventory of linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies.
