Job summary

The Globevest Group client, an upmarket hotel and conference center in Pretoria, seeks an Executive Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

The role supervises staff, manages budgets, partners with Front Office and Maintenance, and drives staff development while ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field advantageous
• Minimum 2–3 years supervisory housekeeping experience in hotel settings
• Strong leadership and organisational abilities
• Solid knowledge of health and safety standards in housekeeping
• Excellent communication and guest-service orientation

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise housekeeping staff and ensure timely task completion
• Recruit, train and develop housekeeping team members
• Maintain budget targets and manage expenses
• Ensure cleanliness standards in guest rooms and public areas
• Inspect rooms and facilities for quality and safety compliance
• Handle guest complaints related to housekeeping
• Collaborate with Front Office and Maintenance on requests and incidents
• Organise training and ensure adherence to safety regulations
