Job summary

Staff Solutions is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager for a luxury hotel in the Eastern Cape. You will lead daily operations, ensure impeccable cleanliness, and drive service excellence across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.

You will develop policies, manage rosters, and coordinate with maintenance and procurement to uphold brand standards. A Diploma in Hotel Management or related field and 3–5 years of leadership experience are required, with strong English skills

Qualifications

• Diploma in Hotel Management or Housekeeping Operations.
• 3–5 years housekeeping leadership in luxury hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning products, laundry operations, and hygiene protocols.
• Proficient in written and spoken English; second official language is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor housekeeping policies, SOPs, and cleanliness standards across all areas.
• Supervise daily operations including guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and back-of-house spaces.
• Plan and manage departmental rosters to ensure optimal staffing coverage and service delivery.
• Collaborate with maintenance to report and follow up on room defects or public area repairs.
• Ensure high levels of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained in compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Oversee inventory of linen, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities.
• Coordinate regular quality checks and cleaning audits across all hotel areas.
• Lead by example, train staff, and conduct performance reviews.
• Prepare and manage the housekeeping department budget and control costs.
