Placements24 is seeking an experienced Loss Adjuster for our Richards Bay field operations. The role involves investigating and assessing damage in insurance claims, conducting site inspections, documenting findings, and preparing detailed loss adjustment reports to facilitate settlements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience in loss adjusting or related claims investigation.
• Strong understanding of building structures, construction methods and repair cost estimation.
• Excellent investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with digital tools for reporting and documentation.

You will be responsible for conducting site inspections, documenting findings, determining the cause of loss, and providing accurate reports to facilitate the claims settlement process. The successful candidate will be adept at managing client relations during challenging times and ensuring fair claims resolution, contributing significantly to the company's reputation for reliability and service excellence within the KwaZulu-Natal region.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough on-site inspections to assess damages related to insurance claims (e.g., fire, water, storm, burglary).
• Investigate the circumstances and causes of loss, gathering all relevant documentation and evidence.
• Prepare detailed and accurate loss adjustment reports, including cost estimations for repairs or replacements.
• Negotiate settlements with policyholders, ensuring fairness and adherence to policy terms.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to claimants throughout the claims process.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, internal departments, and third parties.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years' experience as a Loss Adjuster or in a related claims investigation role.
• Strong understanding of building structures, construction methods, and repair cost estimation.
• Excellent investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for reporting and documentation.
• Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for site inspections in and around Richards Bay .
• Professional certifications or qualifications in insurance or loss adjusting are highly desirable.
