About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator with specialized expertise in cold chain management to join their dynamic team in Centurion, Gauteng . This critical role ensures the integrity and timely delivery of temperature-sensitive goods throughout the supply chain. The successful candidate will be adept at coordinating with carriers, monitoring shipments, and resolving issues to maintain product quality and customer satisfaction. This is a remote-first position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa, with occasional travel to the Centurion facility if required. You will be at the forefront of managing complex logistical challenges, ensuring compliance with stringent temperature control regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the transportation of temperature-sensitive goods, ensuring adherence to strict temperature control protocols.
• Monitor shipment status in real-time, proactively identifying and resolving any deviations or potential issues.
• Liaise with transportation providers, warehouse facilities, and clients to ensure seamless cold chain logistics.
• Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including temperature logs, customs documentation, and delivery confirmations.
• Develop and implement contingency plans for disruptions in the cold chain.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international regulations pertaining to temperature-controlled transportation.
• Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement in cold chain efficiency and reliability.
• Manage communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on shipment status and potential risks.
• Process shipping documentation and invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with internal teams to forecast capacity needs and optimize logistics planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics coordination, with at least 3 years specifically focused on cold chain or temperature-controlled transportation.
• Demonstrated understanding of cold chain logistics principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and tracking systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Familiarity with international shipping regulations and customs procedures is an advantage.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications, including MS Office Suite.
