Job summary

Switch Recruit (Pty) Ltd is recruiting a Business Development Manager for Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. The role focuses on acquiring new business across airfreight, seafreight, roadfreight, customs, warehousing and distribution while nurturing long-term client relationships.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in new business sales within clearing and forwarding, holds a valid driver’s license, and owns a reliable vehicle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in new business sales, with at least 3 consecutive years, in the clearing and forwarding industry.
• Valid driver’s license and access to own reliable vehicle.
• Experience building long-term client relationships and driving growth within logistics.

Responsibilities

• Acquire new business for airfreight, seafreight, roadfreight, customs, warehousing and distribution.
• Facilitate processing of credit applications. Implementation.
• Client servicing.
• Cost freight movements and prepare service estimates.
• Comply with the requirements of the quality management system.
