Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Logistics Administrator to join the operations team in Richards Bay. You will coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, track progress, manage shipping documents and liaise with carriers to ensure on-time delivery in the KwaZulu-Natal port city.

The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics administration, proficiency with logistics software and strong Excel skills, with excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a logistics or supply chain administrative role.
• Familiarity with logistics software and tracking systems.
• Strong understanding of shipping procedures and documentation requirements.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing complex schedules.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills, particularly in resolving delivery exceptions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule shipments, both inbound and outbound, using logistics software.
• Track shipment progress and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs forms, and invoices.
• Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and warehouse personnel to resolve any logistical issues.
• Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities and inventory levels.
• Assist in optimizing logistics routes and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
