Job summary

Rightside in Johannesburg (Kempton Park) is seeking an experienced JHB Ops Planner to oversee daily distribution operations and lead the Horse & Trailer Team, including linehaul handovers, POD returns and reporting.

You will train Code 14 staff, coordinate with drivers, maintain uniforms, and liaise with Customer Service to ensure client satisfaction. Requires 3–5 years of ops distribution management and own transport.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 certificate is required.
• 3–5 years operational distribution management experience.
• Own reliable transport is required.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the Horse & Trailer Team to ensure efficient and productive performance.
• Provide training for all Code 14 staff.
• Arrange regular meetings with Operations Team & Drivers to motivate, train and resolve issues.
• Supervise daily activities of all drivers related to trailer drops and collections.
• Manage POD return for Code 14 deliveries and returns.
• Ensure daily linehaul handover between dayshift and nightshift.
• Discipline staff in your section related to Code 14 drivers.
• Ensure all reports are accurate and submitted on time.
• Assist the Customer Service Department with requests to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain professional communication with Clients, Agents and Staff.
