Job summary

Qetello Holdings is seeking an experienced Fleet Controller to oversee linehaul operations and optimise schedules for on-time deliveries. The role requires strong leadership, fleet planning expertise, and the ability to drive cost efficiency across transport networks.

You will coordinate with dispatch teams, ensure vehicle compliance, and manage maintenance scheduling. The position demands resilience in a fast-paced logistics environment and a commitment to service excellence.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in fleet planning and control within logistics.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and optimise linehaul schedules to ensure on-time deliveries and efficient resource utilisation.
• Monitor vehicle movements and adherence to planned routes and schedules.
• Collaborate with dispatchers, fleet controllers, and branch management for seamless operations.
• Ensure fleet is roadworthy, compliant, and operationally efficient.
• Coordinate with workshops for maintenance and prompt repairs.
• Track fleet utilisation, fuel consumption, and performance for cost optimisation.
• Lead, manage, and motivate drivers and staff to high performance standards.
• Engage with customers to ensure service delivery meets expectations and resolve delays.
