Qetello Holdings is recruiting on behalf of a well-established logistics company operating nationally within the long-distance transport sector. We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Fleet Controller to oversee and optimise linehaul operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and service excellence.
Plan, manage, and optimise linehaul schedules to ensure on-time deliveries and effective resource utilisation
Monitor vehicle movements and adherence to planned routes and schedules
Collaborate closely with dispatchers, fleet controllers, and branch management to ensure seamless operations
Ensure the fleet is roadworthy, compliant, and operationally efficient
Coordinate with workshops to schedule routine maintenance and address breakdowns promptly
Track fleet utilisation, fuel consumption, and operational performance to support cost optimisation
Ensure all operations comply with company policies, industry standards, and national transport regulations
Maintain accurate records relating to vehicle compliance and operational requirements
Lead, manage, and motivate drivers and support staff to achieve high performance standards
Promote effective communication, accountability, and teamwork within operations
Liaise with customers to ensure service delivery meets or exceeds expectations
Resolve operational issues or delays in a professional and timeous manner
Provide regular operational reports and performance feedback to senior management
Grade 12 / Matric (non-negotiable)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in fleet planning and control within the transport or logistics industry
Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment
